Belgrade Waste Management PPP project is approaching the completion of its second phase.
The new cells of the sanitary landfill were put into operation in August 2021, as well as the CDW recycling facility. The construction of the EfW plant is completed, and it is in the final testing phase. The Landfill Gas Plant is also under the final phase of installation, while the Leachate Treatment Facility is in trial run period. The latest stage of works as per the PPP Contract includes the remediation of the old landfill and its capping with mineral material and geosynthetic membrane and the construction of wells network and landfill gas collection system.
