We were delighted for the opportunity to present Belgrade’s Waste Management PPP Project to experts from Western Balkan countries during their visit to our Vinča Resource Recovery Centre.

This week, we have hosted a delegation led by representatives of the Secretariat for Environmental Protection and the Belgrade City Administration, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, along with experts from JASPERS (EU) and IPZ Uniprojekt. They are carrying out activities as part of developing the Feasibility Study for Waste Management System in Belgrade.

We had the pleasure of hosting students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Belgrade at the Vinča Resource Recovery Center last week. This visit was part of their Waste Management course, specifically designed for second-year Master’s students specializing in Process Technology and Environmental Protection.

Ms. Lea Markštajn Stojanović, our Legal and Contract Manager, recently participated in a panel discussion titled Collaborative Growth: Unlocking the Potential of Public-Private Partnerships to Transform Cities in Serbia.

The company marked a milestone with the ceremonial opening of the Energy-from-Waste Plant for thermal treatment of solid, non-hazardous, municipal waste at the Vinča Waste Management Center in the presence of officials from the Serbian Government, City of Belgrade, project sponsors and lenders, and other dignitaries.

BEO ČISTA ENERGIJA, the Special Purpose Vehicle company, established by ITOCHU Corporation (Japan), VEOLIA Group (France) and Marguerite, a pan-European infrastructure investor (Luxembourg), successfully commenced on July 1, 2024 the full scope of Services in accordance with the Public-Private-Partnership contract with the City of Belgrade.

Mr. Bosko Maravic ESHS Manager, participated today in the round table “ESG Challenges”, alongside Ms.Senka Jelenkovic from Belgrade Airport, Mr. Nicolas Marquier from IFC, Mr. Antoine Avignon from the EU delegation, and moderator Ms. Stevan Pechitch.

Mr. Vladimir Milovanović, Managing Director of Beo Čista Energija, participated in the 37th International Congress on Process Industry, 28th-31th of May, in Belgrade.
