Students and professors of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy and the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade visited today the Waste Management Center in Vinča.
Managers of Beo Čista Energija and Suez Vinča Operator (Veolia) paid special attention to the objectives of the public-private partnership project, the status of works and the contribution of the project to environmental protection through modern waste management. It was a real pleasure to show young experts how the leachate treatment plant works, which is currently in commissioning phase, especially those who study hydraulic engineering and water-ecological engineering at the Faculty of Civil Engineering. Students of structural engineering and chemical process engineering were very interested in seeing the installed equipment of the first energy-from-waste plant in Serbia.
We were pleased to spend day together with future colleagues and share the latest knowledge in waste management in Serbia.
