Students and professors from the Belgrade Mechanical Engineering School visited today the Vinča Resource Recovery Center hosted by Beo Čista Energija d.o.o. and Suez Vinča Operator d.o.o. The visit is part of practice within the course “Waste and Wastewater Management”.
Students of 2nd year Master Academy Studies visited the newly built sanitary landfill and construction waste recycling facility, the leachate treatment facility, as well as the energy-from-waste plant under construction and got familiar with the characteristics and specifics of the PPP project with the City of Belgrade.
Especially, the next generation of engineers had the privilege to visit the energy-from-waste facility in the construction phase, which is the first of its kind in Serbia. The students could learn the technology installed to date, such as the Martin reverse-acting grate for combusting waste, steam turbine, generator, flu gas treatment system, and vertical-type boiler, which was recently successfully tested.
Beo Čista Energija and Suez Vinča Operator had the pleasure to contribute to the development of young professionals and to enable them to get acquainted with the state-of-art technologies and solutions in waste management in practice and complete their knowledge.
