Students and professors from the Belgrade Mechanical Engineering School visited the Vinča Resource Recovery Center hosted by Beo Čista Energija d.o.o. and Suez Vinča Operator d.o.o.

The Global Infrastructure Hub (GI Hub) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) are collaborating on a series New Deals: Funding solutions for the future of infrastructure, to showcase practical solutions and funding innovations that are being used globally to fund the infrastructure of the future.

The new infrastructure has been developed under a 25-year Public Private Partnership with a consortium of SUEZ, Itochu and Marguerite and will allow for the safe disposal of municipal waste after energy and material recovery.

A delegation of the France-Western Balkans Friendship Group of the French Senate, headed by the President of the Group, Mrs. Marta de Cidrac, visited the New Vinča Integrated Resource Recovery Center.

Senior Management Delegation of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)  headed by Nandita Parshad, Managing Director, Sustainable Infrastructure Group, with Charlotte Ruhe, Managing Director, Central and South Eastern Europe,  Susan Goeransson, Director, Head of Infrastructure Europe Team,  Matteo Colangeli, Director, Regional Head of Western Balkans, Guillaume Le Bris, Associate Director and Jelena Čeperković, Associate Director, visited the New Vinca Resource Recovery Center which is being implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP)  with the City of Belgrade.

Minister of Environmental Protection Mrs. Irena Vujović, Deputy Mayor Mr. Goran Vesić, Assistant Mayer, Mr. Andreja Mladenovic, Secretary of Environment Protection, Mrs. Ivana Vilotijević, Secretary for Defense, Emergency Situations, Communications and Coordination of Public Relations, Mr. Darko Glavaš, Commander of the Belgrade fire brigade Mr. Miloš Majstorović, and CEO of PUC “Gradska čistoća”, Mr. Marko Popadić visited the New Waste Management Center in Vinča.
